In the Eye of the Storm: Modernism in Ukraine, 1900-1930s

On November 29th, the Foundation had the pleasure of co-hosting an event with the Royal Academy of the Arts to rally support around the RA’s 2024 exhibition ‘’In the Eye of the Storm: Modernism in Ukraine, 1900-1930s’’.

Ann Dumas, one of the curators of the exhibition, gave an introduction to the collection and presented a number of the artists involved: Davyd Burliuk, El Lissitzky, Oleksandr Bohomazov, Vasyl Yermylov, Sonia Delaunay, Alexander Archipenko and others.

Following the introduction, guests were invited to a private viewing of the historic Marina Abramović exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.

Crowned Exhibition of the Year at The Apollo Awards 2023, “In the Eye of the Storm’’ will conclude its tour with a showcase at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in June 2024. The exhibition has visited the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum Madrid in Madrid and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels.

In the Eye of the Storm: Modernism in Ukraine, 1900-1930s” will be exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, from 29 June 2024 to 13 October 2024 at the Gabrielle Jungels-Winkler Galleries. The exhibition is curated by Ann Dumas; Sylvie Broussine; Katira Denysova; Konstantin Akinsha; Olena Kashuba-Volvach.
