In the Eye of the Storm: Modernism in Ukraine, 1900-1930s.

On November 29th, the foundation had the pleasure of co-hosting an event with the Royal Academy of the Arts to rally support around the RA’s 2024 exhibition ‘’In the Eye of the Storm: Modernism in Ukraine, 1900-1930s’’.

We heard from Ann Dumas, one of the curators of the exhibition. She gave an introduction to the exhibition and presented some of the artists involved: Davyd Burliuk, El Lissitzky, Oleksandr Bohomazov, Vasyl Yermylov, Sonia Delaunay, Alexander Archipenko and others.

Following the introduction, guests were invited to an exclusive private view of the Marina Abramovic exhibition at the RA.

Having been crowned Exhibition of the Year at The Apollo Awards 2023, “In the Eye of the Storm. Modernism in Ukraine, 1900-1930s’’ will conclude its tour with a final showcase at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, starting June 2024, after having passed from the @museothyssen in Madrid to the Royal Museum of Fine Arts @fineartsbelgium in Brussels.

You will be able to visit the exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts, London from 29 June 2024 through 13 October 2024 at the Gabrielle Jungels-Winkler Galleries, Burlington Gardens, RA.

Curators of the exhibitions are Ann Dumas; Sylvie Broussine; Katia Denysova; Konstantin Akinsha; Olena Kashuba-Volvach.
