Art Starts is a new model for arts and culture access by the Natalia Cola Foundation. The programme was created to provide open access to arts and culture for young people outside London who face the greatest barriers to cultural opportunity, and in response to the long-term decline in arts education and unequal cultural access across the UK. The fully resourced, curriculum-linked programme combines school visits, guided collection tours, creative self-exploration, specially designed resources, skills-based workshops, and follow-on pathways into arts, heritage, and the cultural sector.

Do you have an idea, connection or place that could support Art Starts or help shape what comes next? You may know a school that would especially benefit from this kind of access, a local initiative working toward similar aims, a cultural or heritage site we should know about, or a private collection that could provide new possibilities for students. We’d love to hear your thoughts.
